During the wintertime, Meredith becomes a beautiful winter wonderland, with great spots for ice fishing, miles of paths for snowshoeing, and cross-country and downhill skiing opportunities. In the summer, swim, snorkel, or sail the peaceful waterways. Be the first to see the sunrise over snowcapped mountains with your morning coffee in hand, and then walk just minutes to enjoy a wide range of outdoor recreational activities. Located along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith, NH boasts one of the United State's most stunning lake and mountain landscapes. We had a great snowshoe hike on the trails (snow was not good for XC skiing that weekend). Outside - to die for! A hill outside the door that was fun for all ages of sledders - and floodlights for night sledding. Lots to do inside (games, books, sound system, karaoke) and even a play area with table, chairs, books and toys for the young ones. The living room had plenty of space for all of us to congregate around the fireplace or to go to a corner for a game challenge or a quiet space. ![]() ![]() The large, well-stocked kitchen allowed all of us to share in the cooking and cleaning chores. There was plenty of space for all of us - with room to spare. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. His love of the lodge was obvious as he shared its history.
